Interesting course taught by S. Gurumurthy at IIT-Mumbai

As many of us know, S.Gurumurthy is a multifaceted personality. Trained as a chartered accountant, he has been an investigative journalist exposing black money trail of some major industrial houses back in 1990s, a public speaker, an advisor to governments and companies etc.

At the request of IIT-Mumbi, he conducted a course. 14 lectures of roughly 1 hour each. It also features guest speakers like Prof. R. Vaidyanathan of IIM-Bangalore and Mukul Kanitkar, a Swadesi movement leader.

Very enlightening course which covers economics, politics, history, sociology, demography, future of the world etc.

Very influencing and impressive. I have been watching several speeches by S.Gurumurthy, Prof. Vaidyanathan and Sree Iyer. They bring a very interesting perspective on current events. A very refreshing change from the run-of-the-mill coverage you find in news papers and magazines.

Really made me sit up and take notice about why certain things happen at macro level and what are the underlying causes.

Highly recommended. Takes about 16-18 hours to complete the entire series. Took a week for me at the rate of one lecture/day and a couple/day over the weekend. Great use of time. S.Gurumurthy is a walking encyclopedia and is a great interpreter of data.

Here is the link to the first video in the series. You will find links to others from there.
